Booking Process Step: Transfers

Transfers (airport to resort transportation service):
When offering a package to any destination, you need to make sure the clients can get from point to point (i.e. airport to resort and back) and have included this in their pricing.    The tour operators will show shared transfers in their quotes, but it is recommended to select private transfers for your clients to prevent them from being on a big bus with a lot of people stopping at mulitple resorts.

Most CX agencies also use other third party Destination Management Companies (DMCs) such as:

  • Lomas: Riviera Maya/Cancun
  • TUI: Dominican Republic
  • Reggae Tours: Jamaica
  • Barefoot Holidays:  St Lucia

Speak with your agency for who they prefer first in each destination, as it will vary. Most tour operators offer shared or private tours. Shared means they will be on a bus with others & can stop at multiple resorts. “Private” means it will be just be their party & will go directly to the resort. “Nonstop” transfers will go directly to the resort, but there will be other guests on the bus.

For more info on CX DMC pricing, go under Products>DMCs>then choose your destination

If you booked the transfers through the tour operator, you will need to provide the flight info to them if the client booked their own flights:
In this case, obtain their arrival & departure flight #s, airline, & arrival/departure times. This information is added to the reservation in order to schedule roundtrip airport to resort transportation service.

  • For TI reservations, under the Edit tab, click on Add Transfer Time. Complete the fields for the final flight leg that arrives at the destination, & the first leg on the departure date.
  • For GoGo reservations, provide the CX Team with the info.
