CAN WE BRING IN OUTSIDE VENDORS?

Secrets Playa Mujeres packages usually include in-house vendors for essentials like floral arrangements, catering, and photography.

Outside vendors are allowed at Secrets Playa Mujeres for services such as photography, florals, décor, and entertainment.

The fee for bringing in an outside vendor typically ranges from $500 to $800 per vendor. This fee covers the resort's coordination and ensures the vendor meets the resort’s standards. The fee may be waived if the vendor stays at the resort for at least three nights. Check with the wedding coordinator for details.

HOW MANY WEDDINGS ARE HELD PER DAY?

WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT CEREMONY TYPES?

The resort offers legal (civil), symbolic, LGBTQ+, same-sex and vow renewal ceremonies. Legal ceremonies require additional documentation, while symbolic ceremonies offer more flexibility in customization.

A legal (civil) ceremony is recognized by law and requires certain documentation, such as passports and a marriage license. It involves a legal official to perform the ceremony. A symbolic ceremony, on the other hand, has no legal standing and is often chosen by couples who have already been legally married elsewhere or prefer a non-legal celebration.

Secrets Playa Mujeres proudly welcomes LGBTQ+ couples and offers inclusive wedding packages for same-sex marriages, symbolic ceremonies, and vow renewals. The resort’s team ensures that every wedding is customized to reflect the couple’s love and celebration.

ARE KIDS ALLOWED TO ATTEND THE WEDDING?

Secrets Playa Mujeres is an adults-only resort, meaning guests must be 18 years or older to stay at the property and attend the wedding events on the property. It's important to discuss this with the wedding coordinator to discuss how children can be accommodated at your specific event.

Some couples may also choose to host wedding activities at the nearby family-friendly resort, like Dreams Playa Mujeres, which is part of the same resort complex.

WHAT ARE THE CURFEW TIMES FOR WEDDINGS?

At Secrets Playa Mujeres, the curfew times for weddings typically depend on the venue chosen for the reception:

Outdoor Venues (beach, terraces, etc.): The curfew for outdoor weddings is usually around 10:30 PM to 11:00 PM due to noise restrictions.
Indoor Venues (ballrooms, etc.): Indoor wedding receptions can typically continue until 12:00 AM, allowing for extended celebrations without the concern of noise limitations.

These curfews ensure a balance between guest enjoyment and resort policies, but it's always best to confirm specific times with your wedding coordinator, as they can vary slightly depending on the event details and season.
